September Family Mass
September Family Mass takes place next weekend, 6th and 7th in both churches. As usual there will be a music practice from half an hour before the start of each mass, and we warmly welcome any children or adults who would like to join us singing.

Weekday Masses

  • Gortnahoe, Tues and Thurs at 9.30am
  • Glengoole, Wed and Fri at 9.30am

Gluten Free Holy Communion
Gluten Free Holy Communion is available at all Masses.

The Rosary
The Rosary will be recited before Mass in Glengoole every Saturday evening.

Eucharistic Adoration

  • Glengoole Wed 10am to 2pm 
  • Gortnahoe Thurs 10am to 1pm.

Baptism
We welcome Fíadh Eileen Guilfoyle, Fennor, both as a member of our parish community, and as a member of God’s family.

First Friday Communion Calls
Fr. Walton will bring Communion to the housebound, elderly & Sick (By prior arrangement) next Thursday, Sept 4th after the 9.30am Mass in Gortnahoe Church. (Please note the change of day.)

Back to School
Best wishes and God’s blessings upon all teachers and pupils who have returned to the various schools for the coming year and especially to all involved in the enterprise of education in the parish.

Our Lady of Fatima National Pilgrimage
In Holycross Abbey this Sunday, August 31st. Beginning with Rosary at 2.30pm & concluding with Mass at 4pm with Celebrant, Fr. Vincent Stapleton. All are welcome.

Holycross Abbey Solemn Novena
From Sept. 8th - 16th. Monday to Saturday sessions at 7am, 10.30am, 4.30pm & 7.30pm (Please note there is a 12.30pm session on Sunday but no 4.30pm). Special Sessions - Penitential Service, Fri. 12th at 7.30pm; Anointing of the Sick, Sat. 13th at 2pm and Blessing of Infants, Sun. 14th at 2.30pm. Confessions will be heard before, during and after each session every day except Sunday.

Thurles Young Adult Prayer
In Bohernanave Church every 1st & 3rd Friday of the month at 8pm. Includes Adoration, prayer, scripture & reflection – all are welcome. Sept. 5th & 19th. Oct. 3rd & 17th.

Community First Responders (CFR)
Church Gate Collection for Urlingford-Graine CFR (which covers Gortnahoe area) on weekend of September 13th/14th at Gortnahoe Church only.

One Day Retreat to Lough Derg
Cashel and Emly One Day Retreat to Lough Derg: 8th/9th Sept, Mass and confessions in Knock on Monday 8th. Overnight Stay in the Great Northern Hotel, Bundoran with evening meal and B & B included. Travelling to Lough Derg on Tuesday 9th for Retreat from 10.00 a.m. – 4.00 p.m. Returning home on Tuesday evening after a meal in Roscommon. Buses available with various pick-up points. Men on the Move Exercise Classes
Exercise Classes with Biddy O’Dwyer return on Monday 1st Sept. in MFRC, Glengoole, 11:15am – 12:15pm. Enjoy some light exercise followed by a cup of tea and a chat. Further information contact Alice Teehan 083-1014313.

Breakfast on Sunday 31st August from 10am till 12.30. 

Galtee Mountain Boys
Galtee Mountain Boys band play in Hogan’s, Ballysloe on Saturday 6th September. Thanks to all who supported our recent walk which raised €1,509 for South Tipperary Hospice, a very valued service for Tipperary 

Gortnahoe Bingo
Gortnahoe Bingo every Saturday evening at 4pm. Over €2,660 in prize money.

Epilepsy Ireland
Thank you for €575 raised at the recent Church gate collection.
