Gluten Free Holy Communion is available at all Masses.

The Rosary
The Rosary will be recited before Mass in Glengoole every Saturday evening.

  • Gortnahoe Thurs 10am to 1pm.

We welcome both Katie Dympna Crowe, Clonamicklon Castle Farm and Jacob Liam Slomian, Sexton St. North, Limerick and Mellison, as members of our parish community and as members of God’s family.
                  

Peter’s Pence Collection
Many thanks to all who contributed to this collection last weekend supporting the charitable and apostolic work of the Pope. The funds collected are used to support those in need, aiding victims of natural disasters and conflicts, and funding the Holy See’s various ministries. If you are paying by cheque, please make the cheque payable to “Gortnahoe Parish”.

National Novena to Our Lady of Knock
At Knock Shrine from 13th to 21st August with daily ceremonies at 3pm and 8pm. Daily workshops at 12.45pm and themed guided prayer sessions are available in Knock Prayer Centre. Theme for this year is “Pilgrims of Hope”. See posters in Church porches for further details.

Our Lady of Fatima National Pilgrimage
In Holycross Abbey on Sunday, August 31st. Rosary at 2.30pm followed by Stations of the Cross at 3pm, Anointing of the Sick at 3.40pm and Mass at 4pm with Celebrant, Fr. Vincent Stapleton. All are welcome.

Order of the Knights of Saint Columbanus
Annual Men's Retreat in Saint Munchins College, Corbally, Limerick, on Saturday. Sept 20th  from 10 am to 5 pm.  The theme of the retreat is: "Jesus, I trust in you - The starting point for spiritual growth".  Lunch will be provided, and donation for the day is €20.  Please contact Declan at 087 618 7586 or Gerry at 087 410 6025 for further information.

Music on the Reen
Music on the Reen on Sunday, 17th August commencing at 2pm. Raffle with great prizes. Refreshments available. Face Painter. Side Stalls. All are welcome. Proceeds support Glengoole Community Group, Tidy Towns and the Hall. Painting of the hall this week is part funded by a Tipperary County Council grant. We also welcome the announcement of €40,000 funding for development of the Reen Loop Walk.

A Miner’s Life through Song and Story
Way Down Underground, A Miner’s Life through Song and Story on Friday, 29th August in Derrynaflan Theatre, Horse and Jockey Hotel at 8.30pm. Doors open 8pm. Tickets €15 at https://buytickets.at/waydownunderground or TEXT 086 1960157 to reserve.

Voices of the Abbey -
The 50th Anniversary of the Restoration of Holycross Abbey takes place on Sat., 30th August at 8pm in Holycross Community Centre. A series of videos of people associated with the Abbey - what the Abbey was like before, during and after the Restoration. Free event, with a break for refreshments and a raffle.

Men on the Move
Exercise Classes with Biddy O’Dwyer return on Monday 1st Sept. in MFRC, Glengoole, 11:15am – 12:15pm. Enjoy some light exercise followed by a cup of tea and a chat. Further information contact Alice Teehan 083-1014313.

Ballysloe Breakfast
Ballysloe Breakfast on Sunday 17th August from 10am till 12.30.  Split the Pot envelopes will be available, proceeds to Ballysloe Tidy Towns village enhancement.

Bingo every Saturday
Gortnahoe Bingo every Saturday evening at 4pm. Over €2,660 in prize money.

Monster Metal Scrap Collection Fundraiser
